Cruces de Mayo (Crosses of May)
This popular Spanish fiesta is also celebrated in Villanueva de los Infantes, whose streets are laden with decorations which in themselves are well worth coming to see.

An internationally renowned poetry competitionl whose prize award ceremony is celebrated in the Convent of Santo Domingo de Villanueva de los Infantes and which follows the eighteenth century ceremony with participants attired in period dress.

Gastronomic Pepper Festival (September)
Two days of popular celebrations and activities, including those of the guiso (cooked dish) and the serving of a huge pisto (ratatouille-like stew), a medieval market, cultural activities, regional dancing…..

An entire week completely dedicated to music, with concerts of every type in the incomparable surroundings of the cloisters of the Hospedería Real El Buscón de Quevedo (Royal Inn)
